“You can’t stop the signal” Mr. Universe in Serenity
On Friday March 4th, from 7pm onwards, the Aberystwyth Assembly, organised by National Theatre Wales at Consti Café on Constitution Hill, will debate if Aberystwyth is the end of the road – while looking out to the sea.
During the Assembly random people will send out messages from the top of Pen Dinas , the hill opposite Consti, via Morse Code. What should the dots and dashes say?
If you have anything that you would like us to share with Aberystwyth and the world, please send a text to 0044 7582 511450 – and we will make sure it goes out into the night!
Your messages can be anything you like – from proclamations to confessions to questions, from quotes to manifestos to poems. They can relate to anything – to Aberystwyth, to the world, to the night, to the sea, or to whatever you are thinking about at that very moment. They can be messages to someone special or to everybody, something you always wanted to say or something that you thought you would never say. They can be in any language (using a Latin alphabet). We will send out the messages in the order we receive them in and you can keep texting us throughout the evening.
If you live in Aberystwyth and cannot make it to the Assembly, look up to Pen Dinas to see the lights. If you do not live in Aberystwyth, look in our direction and try to imagine them.

Ar ddydd Gwener Mawrth 4ydd o 7yh ymlaen bydd Cynulliad Aberystwyth, dan drefniant National Theatr Wales, yn cael ei gynnal yng Nghaffi Consti ar ben Constitution Hill yn Aberystwyth. Bwriad y Cynulliad fydd cwestiynu os mai Aberystwyth yw diwedd y ffordd – ac yn gwneud hynny wrth edrych allan dros y môr.
Yn ystod y cynulliad, fe fydd random people yn gyrru negeseuon trwy ddefnyddio Cod Morse o dop Pen Dinas, y bryn sydd union gyferbyn â Consti ar ochr arall y dref. Beth ddylai’r dotiau a’r llinellau ddweud?
Os oes gennych unrhyw beth yr hoffech i ni ei rannu gydag Aberystwyth a’r byd, gyrrwch neges destun i 0044 7582 511450 - ac fe wnawn ein gorau i yrru eich neges allan i’r nos!
Gall eich neges fod am unrhyw beth - o ddatganiadau i gyffesiadau i gwestiynau, yn ddyfyniad neu’n faniffesto neu’n gerdd. Gallent ymwneud ac unrhyw beth - gydag Aberystwyth, gyda’r byd, gyda’r nos, gyda’r môr, neu gydag unrhyw beth yr ydych yn meddwl amdano ar y pryd. Gallent fod yn neges i rywun arbennig neu’n neges i bawb, rhywbeth yr ydych wastad wedi dyheu i’w rannu neu’n rhywbeth na fyddech erioed wedi’i dychmygu’i ddweud. Gall y neges fod mewn unrhyw iaith (sydd yn defnyddio’r wyddor Ladin), a byddent yn cael eu darlledu yn ôl y drefn y cant eu derbyn. Mae croeso i chi yrru negeseuon i ni trwy gydol hyd y Cynulliad.
Os ydych yn byw yn Aberystwyth a methu mynychu’r Cynulliad, edrychwch draw i gyfeiriad Pen Dinas i weld y golau. Os nad ydych yn byw yn Aberystwyth, edrychwch tua’r gorllewin a dychmygwch y fflachiadau.
Bydd rhestr o’r negeseuon i’w gweld ar wefan random-people.net - yn gofnod o’r hyn a ddywedwyd i’r môr, i’r byd, i’r nos!
