This project is a call out into the world. It facilitates an exchange of accounts of people's favourite places in their everyday lives. People are asked to record and document their favourite places and reflect on why they like these places: Why do they go there? What do they get from these places? What do they usually do there? What would they do if these places disappeared, if they closed down? These accounts can have various forms: text, sound, drawing, maps, photos, video etc. - or they can be a combination of these formats. The accounts will be collected and made available on the following homepage: www.willstayhere.org. New accounts can constantly be added to the project so that an infinite archive of favourite places can develop. The project presents a response to the increasing commercialisation and control of public, but also of private space.
